yes all well and good but the video quality saved to the hombase 3 is only 1080p, this is becuse it uses your home wifi rather than Eufi hombase 3 network.

Hi Scott. I watched your video on Eufy doorbell installation. Is it that simple, i.e. just replace the doorbell unit in the front of the house? I've watched other videos that show a complicated way of hooking it up, i.e. attaching a transformer and re-wiring. I am not confident of doing electrical re-wiring.

The Eufy Floodlight camera had to be returned. The 360-degree views on the camera were the only feature I found appealing; everything else about it is terrible. Occasionally, when someone walks directly in front of the camera, nothing gets captured. I receive notifications for each passing car. That is really pathetic. The face is indistinct and difficult to see when I enlarge the image. Not worthwhile.

I would never buy these cameras. There is a major flaw where a thief can delete the footage by pressing the sync button on the camera. There are many videos on this major security flaw rendering the cameras useless

I have one of these and it’s great for real time alerts, but due to lack of ONVIF support, it can’t really be used for security. It compliments a hardwired camera system, and I love the way it can track subjects. So I’d say it compliments a system, but can’t replace one. I also like the app it seems relatively intuitive and well thought out.

I was thinking of going for the pi route but would an old Chromebook that has a touch screen display work? These can usually run linux or Flex after physically removing one of the screws. Dunno if touch screen or tablet mode would still work.

Use any solar panel for it just wire it to the power cord to control the power as a voltage regulator

I keep being baffled about the merging of the doorbell button and the camera. I have both, separately integrated in my smarthome flawlessly. As a matter of fact, not that long ago I upgraded the camera which was cheaper and easier than if it was merged into the doorbell button.
